Since 2022, we’ve brought together thousands in community centers, museums, parks, and third-spaces to practice yoga.

Our vision is to use traditional healing practices as tools to do justice- by shifting power, challenging systems, and mobilizing communities— to empower individual wellness and collective well-being.

Our Story

Founded by Stephon Bradberry, FlowWell Yoga + Wellness strives to imagine a yoga practice rooted in justice and in pursuit of getting free.

Since 2022, more than 8,000 people across the District of Columbia have practiced with FlowWell— grounded in a common purpose: do justice, get free.

We understand personal embodiment drives collective change. Through our cost- accessible offerings we move toward a world where all people, in all places are free, healed, and whole.

Our non-profit Black Folx Wellness Collective (BFWC) works to resource, train, and empower Black healers and practitioners.

Yoga Beyond the Studio

At our core, we believe wellness should be accessible, culturally relevant, and fortifying for the mind, body, and soul.

We began hosting classes in parks and open spaces, in yoga studios and museums, in hotels and convention centers, and what we know is our practice is powerful because we’re breaking convention and creating a new way to heal, gather, and practice.

Yoga Beyond the Studio takes yoga out of traditional environments and places them in community— with the people. Our Yoga Beyond the Studio program allows us to offer a body-affirming practice that is accessible and affordable.

These offerings are at the core of who we are and what we do— and are for all, but especially those who maybe intimidated by traditional yoga studios or find wellness classes unaffordable.
